We’re three girls who, with an invisible hand, were brought together for the purpose of comfort and support during a period of tough times. One married, one recently divorced, and the other single and dating, we gathered every weekend in Tillson, NY. It was the summer of 2004 and like every woman, we had our troubles with our significant others. Neither bitter nor scorned, we found solace in each other’s company and found many ways to laugh.
Through many weekends we lounged in Adirondack chairs, hiked the mountains of New Paltz, and swam the waters of High Falls. We laughed, we joked, and we cried. Out of our laughter and tears came out many assertions – the first and most important being “Worry is Wasteful”. As time went on, these assertions became the language for which we lived by.
